Tze Chiang Foundation of Science and Technology (TCFST), a non-profit organization, was founded in 1973 with funds donated by the alumni of National Tsing Hua University (NTHU).
The primary goal of TCFST is to promote economic development and advance industrial technology of the nation by facilitating the integration of resources among industrial, academic, research and governmental institutions. In addition to providing testing and foundry services, TCFST has, since its inception, engaged in research and development, nurtured high-tech professionals and helped expedite the modernization of industrial and business management.
Over the last three decades, TCFST has been very successful in the areas of industrial technology collaboration, research and development and professional high-tech training through working with professors and specialists, efficiently utilizing existing academic facilities and resources and securing support from the government.
While striving for the advancement of science and technology, TCFST has never lost sight of human well-being and social betterment. In recent years, TCFST has teamed up with local government to promote knowledge of the arts and humanities by offering educational workshops and sponsoring social activities for the benefit of local communities and the general public.
