History

The Tze Chiang Foundation of Science and Technology was Founded in 1973, with funds donated by alumni of National Tsinghua University. Its scope of service was expanded and it was given its present name, represented by the initials TCFST, in 1997.

Since its establishment, TCFST has been devoted to fostering high-tech talents, providing measurement and OEM services, actively integrating the resources from the industrial, government, academic, and research institutes for the cooperation and development of industrial technologies and cultivating high-tech talents. The R&D achievements have been applied to the inspection of industrial materials and semiconductor/MEMS foundry services. In accordance with the industrial development, TCFST also actively promotes specialized knowledge and services such as the biotechnology, nanotechnology, intellectual property, technology management, etc., organizes various international cooperation activities and thus facilitates international communication.

Organization Overview

Training and Development Department

Upholding its core value of becoming a hub of industrial technology learning and a platform for promoting industrial technology upgrades, the Department provides participants assistance in enhancing job skills and acquiring new techniques and concepts. The diversified curricula and the professionalism of our teaching staff make available comprehensive training services to satisfy the needs of the technological industry and expand the skilled workforce

Semiconductor & Optoelectronics Laboratory

The Semiconductor & Optoelectronics Laboratory has a Class 100 clean room of 80 ping (1 ping = 3.305785 square meters) for 4-inch wafers and a Class 10 clean room of 11 ping which are equipped with complete series of process and measurement equipment for semiconductor and optoelectronics. The Laboratory provides mainly the professional process foundry services, technology development and educational training of related process practices. The process practice classes have fostered tens of thousands of talents in the semiconductor and optoelectronics field.

Industrial Materials and Environmental Analysis Laboratory

The Laboratory is a research unit having a complete set of inspection equipment for developing engineering plastics and composite materials. As for the inspection of the water used for hemodialysis, the Laboratory has established complete energy and can provide the service of inspection of the water used for hemodialysis in domestic dialysis hospitals to assure the quality of dialysis. Furthermore, the Laboratory passed the laboratory certification by TAF (Taiwan Accreditation Foundation) in 2002 and became the first laboratory certified for the inspection of the water used for hemodialysis.

Nanotechnology Laboratory

In order to assist the domestic companies to apply the nanotechnology to develop nano-products and thus promote the refinement and systematization of nanotechnology and the development nano-products, the Laboratory established the “Nanotechnology Talent Fostering and Development Alliance” to push the development of nanotechnology and foster talents by providing appropriate courses, training the high-quality talents and facilitating the communication and information exchange between the related foreign and domestic organizations so as to promote the competitiveness of nanotechnology related industry.
